Rodeo FX Sets Up Shop With New Paris-Based Studio
Rodeo FX has expanded its global reach by opening its fifth studio, this time in Paris.
Montreal-based Rodeo FX offers services in vfx, advertising, and animation. The studio has recently received Emmy nominations for its work on Stranger Things season four, The Witcher season two, and Foundation season one. Other recent productions which feature Rodeo’s work include films such as The Little Mermaid, Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3, and John Wick 4, as well as major series such as The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, The Sandman, and Love Death + Robots.
New studio details:
- According to the company, Paris was the ideal location to launch a new studio as the city “offers an exceptional variety of artistic talent and proximity to the best schools in the industry, making it the perfect fit for the company’s continued growth and commitment to excellence.”
- The new studio is hailed by the company as a mutually beneficial venture for both Rodeo, which will create new pathways in the European marketplace, and to French artists, who now have another opportunity to work on some of the highest-profile productions from major global studios.
- In a release Sébastien Moreau, founder and CEO of Rodeo FX, said: “We are thrilled to celebrate this inauguration and to share this special moment with our Québécois and French partners. We are also pleased to join the visual effects community of Paris. We have always had a special relationship with France, through our shared language and values. This relationship grows even stronger today.”
