Canadian Screen Awards 2023: All The Animation, VFX, And Video Game Nominees

The Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television has announced this year’s cinema, television, and digital media nominees.

Apple TV’s ‘The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse’ was selected as the best British animated short over the weekend.

Other animation award winners include ‘Puss in Boots: The Last Wish’ and ‘Love, Death + Robots.’

Animated short films ‘Câline,’ ‘Black Sun,’ and ‘Granny’s Sexual Life’ also earned nominations.

Best animated feature nominees are: ‘Pinocchio,’ ‘Marcel the Shell,’ ‘Puss in Boots,’ ‘The Sea Beast,’ and ‘Turning Red.’

“Guillermo del Toro’s Pinoccchio” was also nominated in the production design and original score categories.

With 14 nominations, “Avatar: The Way of Water” is the most-nominated project ever at the VES Awards.

The German-born Kuther grew Pixomondo into a global brand, eventually winning a special effects Oscar for its work on “Hugo.”

The studio will be located in Seoul’s Gangnam district, walking distance from several important agencies, production companies, and brands.
