Comedy Central and Shadowmachine’s crude animated short-form variety series TripTank has floated back to television with a new season.

Returning Friday, September 25 and airing at midnight on both American coasts, Comedy Central’s announcement of TripTank’s 10-episode second season promises to artistically stretch “just a little bit further through a variety of animation styles,” including hand-drawn, stop-motion, and CGI.

It is executive produced by ShadowMachine founders Alex Bulkley and Corey Campodonico, whose production company is making its first foray into feature film with the profane stop-motion full-length, Hell & Back.

Among the show’s chief gimmicks is to add as much variety to the voice actors as the artwork. The second season will feature the vocal talents of Margaret Cho, Key & Peele’s Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key, Mad Men’s Jon Hamm, Reno 911′s Tom Lennon and Niecy Nash, and 3rd Rock from the Sun’s Kristen Johnston, as well as Cheryl Hines, Kevin Dillon, David Hasselhoff, Ne-Yo, Paul Reiser, Amy Schumer, and Brittany Snow.

Episodes of TripTank will be available the day after air on iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Google Play, Xbox Video, Vudu and Verizon Flexview, as well as on the Comedy Central App available to fans that sign in via their cable or satellite provider.
