Wacom Introduces 27-Inch Monster Cintiq
Wacom raised some eyebrows yesterday at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas when they announced a new flagship pair of tablets—the Cintiq 27QHD and the Cintiq 27QHD Touch. The new models, which will start shipping in late January, replace the company’s already-sizeable 24HD models.
The 27″ 2560×1440-pixel has an edge-to-edge glass display that was made possible by moving the ExpressKeys to a separate remote that can be placed either on the screen or a nearby surface, like a desk.
The Cintiq offers 2,048 levels of pressure sensitivity, and displays 1.07 billion colors including 97 percent of Adobe’s color gamut. The integrated stand means the Cintiq can be either laid “flat” (a 5-degree angle) or positioned at a 20-degree angle by extending the legs. Further angle adjustments are possible through the third-party VESA arm.
The 27QHD will cost $2299.99 USD and the 27QHD Touch will cost $2799.99.
