Animation Coming To Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, Crunchyroll, And More In October 2022

Looking for some spooky animation to watch as the leaves begin to fall and pumpkins grown toothy grins? We’ve put together a list of the animation coming to major streaming platforms in the leadup to Halloween.

Netflix’s schedule is, as usual, packed with new animation, but the most chilling offering looks to be Henry Selick’s upcoming feature Wendell & Wild, which will hit the platform on October 28. Tonko House, indie darling of the festival scene with its Dam Keeper series, will release its most ambitious production yet in Oni: Thunder God’s Tale. Multi-Emmy winning comedy series Big Mouth is back with a new season, while TheOdd1sOut, one of the most successful animation Youtube channels of all time, will premiere its first streaming series Oddballs. And Hamish Steele’s Dead End: Paranormal Park could hit the spot for those in the Halloween spirit.

Hulu and Crunchyroll are bringing the goods for anime fans in October. High-profile premieres shared by the two platforms include Chainsaw Man, Berserk: The Golden Age Arc – Memorial Edition, and season 3 of Mob Psycho 100.

As animation continues to be harder to find on HBO Max, the service is paying lip service to the artform, at least, in a pair of interesting specials: Before Mickey Mouse: A History of American Animation and Century of Animation Showcase: 1922 – 2022. The streamer will also drop Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo! just in time for Halloween.
