Chip Chilla Chip Chilla

DailyWire+, the new streaming platform run by conservative media company The Daily Wire, shared a teaser for its first original animated project during a presentation on Wednesday.

In March, the company announced it would invest $100 million in kids’ content for the DailyWire+ streaming platform, to rival the output of “woke” media companies who, according to company co-CEO Jeremy Boreing, hate their audiences.

During the launch, Boreing shared a brief teaser for the streamer’s first animated series Chip Chilla. The show’s official synopsis reads “Chip Chilla is a comedic, pre-school series celebrating the day-to-day lessons of Chip and his homeschooling family of energetic Chinchillas.”

According to the DailyWire+’s subscription page:

We’re creating kids’ entertainment parents can trust, with a $100 million investment into shows that help young minds flourish. No divisive narratives. No insidious ideologies. Just safe, fun programming the whole family will love. Hop on in.

After screening the clip, Boreing explained to the audience at Thursday’s platform launch why The Daily Wire is getting into kids and family content:

Why does it matter? It matters because kids go to school for 40 hours a week and then they engage in pop culture for 40 more hours every week. That means for 80 hours of a child’s week, you are turning them over to the left. And good parents might spend 15 minutes a day in meaningful conversation with their kids. A great parent might take their kid to church for one hour, or two hours, or three hours a week. The other 80, they’re watching Disney, they’re online, they’re in public schools.

After doing his best to make sure everyone in attendance was properly frightened, he issued a challenge and a plea for money:

We have to challenge the “left” every single place that it lives. You have to help us. You can wait and subscribe when the content is there. I would ask you to subscribe today at Daily Wire+ and help us actually bring this content to life.
