‘Big Mouth’ To Become 2nd Netflix Adult Animation Original To Hit 70 Episodes
Netflix has ordered a seventh season of its adult animation comedy series Big Mouth and second of its spinoff Human Resources.
Big Mouth
- Big Mouth is based on real-life best friends Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg and their experiences as teenagers.
- Big Mouth will join BoJack Horseman as the only Netflix adult animation originals to hit seven seasons and 70 episodes.
- Kroll, Goldberg and screenwriter-directors Mark Levin and Jennifer Flackett are all creators and executive producers of the series.
- Big Mouth is produced by Danger Goldberg Productions, Good at Bizness, Fathouse Industries, and Titmouse.
- Series regulars include Kroll, John Mulaney, Maya Rudolph, Jason Mantzoukas, Jordan Peele, Fred Armisen, Ayo Edebiri, and Jessi Klein.
- Edebiri’s character Missy was previously voiced by Jenny Slate, who gave up the role so that a Black actor could voice the Black character.
Human Resources
- Human Resources premiered on March 18 to critical and audience acclaim. It currently has a 94 per cent critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
- The series is co-created and executive produced by Kelly Galuska, Kroll, Goldberg, Flackett and Mark Levin.
- It’s produced by Brutus Pink, Dance Face, and Titmouse.
- In the show, Hormone Monsters, Shame Wizards, Love Bugs, and other supernatural races work together to balance out the emotional states of human “clients.”
- Where Big Mouth focused primarily on the struggles facing pubescent teenagers, Human Resources’ human characters are mostly adults.
- Series regulars include Kroll, Rudolph, Aidy Bryant, Randall Park, Keke Palmer, Brandon Kyle Goodman, and David Thewlis.
