Recent alumnus Young Gul Cho (MFA 2017 Computer Arts) was selected as a Student Academy Awards winner for her thesis film E-delivery in the Domestic Animation Category. Her animated short critiques the current cultural climate of humanity’s total dependency on machines. Cho humorously haunts the audience with the idea of how technology can make human reproduction as easy as making coffee and toast in the morning.

This achievement marks the department’s 9th Student Academy Award, and Cho is the first female from the SVA MFA Computer Arts Department to win.
