Help Wanted: We’re Hiring Writers And A Social Media Coordinator

We’re growing our team here at Cartoon Brew with openings for multiple freelance positions.

We’re currently looking for writers specialized in certain types of journalism, as well as a social media coordinator. All of the jobs can be done remotely.

• Business Writer (freelance, 1 day per week, potential to expand to 2 days per week) to cover industry news (executive/managerial appointments, studio mergers/closures, earnings reports, etc). Must have prior experience writing film business news for trade newspapers/mags (no exceptions) and strong knowledge of film and animation industry. Send clips & a brief description of your background. (Location: Remote position that can be done anywhere, but LA-based preferred.)
• VFX Writer (freelance, assignment-based) to cover vfx productions, both from a technical and animation production standpoint. Must have prior experience with vfx coverage (no exceptions) and strong technical knowledge of how vfx works. Knowledge of vr/ar, real-time rendering, and other technical aspects related to animation production a plus. Send clips & a brief description of your background. (Location: Remote position that can be done anywhere, but Montreal preferred.)
• Social Media Coordinator (freelance, 2 half-days per week, potential to expand to more half-days per week) to create content and manage various social media accounts. Must have professional social media management experience, plus Photoshop and video editing skills. Copywriting and graphic design experience a plus. Send a resume.
