Netflix Unveils Casts Of Adult Animated Projects ‘Human Resources’ And ‘The House’
Yesterday, we reported out of Annecy on Inside Job, Netflix’s first in-house adult animation series. More news from that department: the streamer has released visuals and unveiled the casts of two previously announced projects, The House and Human Resources, both also aimed at older viewers.
Here are the details:
The House
What is it? A three-part stop-motion anthology film that focuses on the strange inhabitants of a house. The tone is darkly comic; the visuals we’ve seen have a gothic air. We wrote about the project when it was announced last year.
Who’s making it? The segments are directed by Emma De Swaef and Marc Roels (This Magnificent Cake!), Niki Lindroth von Bahr (Something to Remember), and Paloma Baeza (Poles Apart). Nexus Studios (Back to the Moon) is producing.
Who’s in the cast? Claudie Blakley, Matthew Goode, Mia Goth, Mark Heap, Miranda Richardson, Josh McGuire, Stephanie Cole, Jarvis Cocker, Dizzee Rascal, Yvonne Lombard, Sven Wollter, Helena Bonham-Carter, Paul Kaye, Will Sharpe, Susan Wokoma.
Human Resources
What is it? An “even edgier and adult-ier” spin-off from Netflix’s hit show Big Mouth. Human Resources (pictured at top) focuses on creatures familiar from the original: the Hormone Monsters, Shame Wizard, Depression Kitties, and others who guide humans through the different stages of life.
Who’s making it? Kelly Galuska, Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Jennifer Flackett, and Mark Levin created and are executive-producing the show. Brutus Pink, their new animation production company, is producing, with Titmouse (Big Mouth) animating.
Who’s in the cast? Nick Kroll, Maya Rudolph, David Thewlis, Aidy Bryant, Brandon Kyle Goodman, Keke Palmer, Randall Park.
