For Entertainment has renewed four animated series for four seasons apiece, a surprisingly bullish order for a broadcast network that is sure to be welcome news at a time of instability in the broader animation industry.

The four shows are The Simpsons, Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers, and American Dad!, the latter of which is returning to Fox’s Animation Domination Block after having aired on TBS since 2014. The renewals will ensure that the shows run on Fox through the 2028-’29 broadcast season. All of the shows are produced by 20th Television Animation, which is part of Disney Television Studios.

The renewals encompass the 16th through 19th seasons of Bob’s Burgers, the 20th through 23rd seasons of American Dad!, the 24th through 27th seasons of Family Guy, and the 37th through 40th seasons of The Simpsons.

Disney+ and Hulu will remain the exclusive streaming home of the four series, which collectively have produced over 2,000 episodes. Last year, both Family Guy and Bob’s Burgers ranked as two of the Top 10 most streamed shows in the U.S., according to Nielsen, with 42.4 billion and 36.7 billion minutes viewed, respectively.

“This historic four-season order from our longtime partners at Fox is truly monumental for these iconic animated series,” said Marci Proietto, head of 20th Television Animation. “We are so proud that these legendary shows will continue for hundreds of more episodes, allowing new and longstanding fans to watch, rewatch, and experience more of [these shows] for years to come.”

Per a report in Deadline, each new season will be 15 episodes, a departure from the former standard of 22 episodes
