Disney+ Drops First Trailer For Extended-Length ‘Bluey’ Special “The Sign,” Coming April 14
Disney Branded Television has released a trailer for the upcoming extended-length Bluey special “The Sign,” which will debut on Disney+, Disney Junior, and Disney Channel on April 14.
Bluey is a global phenomenon and one of the most-streamed animated series of the last several years. According to Nielsen Streaming Content Ratings, it was 2024’s most-streamed series across all audiences in January and February.
The show has won two Logie Awards, Australia’s top tv honors, for outstanding children’s programming, and an International Emmy Kids Award in 2019.
Here’s what we know about “The Sign”:
- The special will feature returning voice actors Dave McCormack, Melanie Zanetti, Patrick Brammall, Claudia O’Doherty, Megan Washington, Myf Warhurst, and Rose Byrne. It will also introduce Bluey newcomers Rove McManus, Deborah Mailman, Brendan Williams and Joel Edgerton.
- Bluey is created and written by Joe Brumm and produced by Emmy-winning label Ludo Studio for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and BBC Studios Kids & Family.
- In the U.S., the show is available on the Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and Disney+ as part of a deal between BBC Studios Kids & Family and Disney Branded Television.
- Disney’s synopsis for the show reads: “The series follows Bluey, a lovable and inexhaustible Blue Heeler dog who lives with her Mum, Dad, and little sister, Bingo. Bluey uses her limitless energy to play games that unfold in unpredictable and hilarious ways, bringing her family and the whole neighborhood into her world of fun.”
