Top Story: ‘The Wild Robot’ And ‘Arcane’ Lead 52nd Annie Award Nominations

Celebrated stage and film director Mike Nichols (Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, The Graduate) died yesterday at the age of 83. While everyone else will be talking about those accomplishments, we wanted to celebrate his life with a series of very funny Jax and Narragansett beer commercials that he made around 1960 when he was half of the comedy duo Nichols and May.

The spots were directed by Jack Zander at his New York City studio Pelican Films, designed by Chris Ishii, and animated by Emery Hawkins and Armin Shaffer.
