‘Lego Movie’ Wins Best Feature Film At BAFTA Children’s Awards

The LEGO Movie, directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, picked up the feature film prize at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Children’s Awards. The awards were presented tonight at the Roundhouse in Camden, London.

LEGO Movie competed against Frozen, Maleficent, and How to Train Your Dragon 2. Due to the submission period for the BAFTA Children’s Awards, the category doesn’t necessarily reflect the films that will be in contention at other award ceremonies later in the season.

The previous winner in the BAFTA children’s feature film category was Life of Pi. At the main BAFTA Awards earlier this year, Frozen won the animated feature award.

Other prizes went to Shaun the Sheep (Animation), Adventure Time (International), Cartoon Network (Channel of the Year), Sarah & Duck (Preschool Animation) and Mario Kart 8 (Game). A complete list of winners can be found on BAFTA’s website.
