Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky Is Also The Voice Of Paddington Bear
It’s well known that Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky had a successful career as an actor, producer, and comedian prior to his political career, but a lot of people online are just finding out that he’s done voice acting for animation, too.
His most high-profile voice acting gig to date is Paddington in the Ukrainian versions of Paddington and Paddington 2. Watch him at work in the video below:
Zelensky is currently leading Ukraine against a Russian invasion and has received praise for his leadership of the country during the war. He has said that he is Russia’s no. 1 target, but has chosen to remain in the country.
The news of Zelensky’s involvement in the Paddington franchise surprised even those who worked on the movies, including star Hugh Bonneville, who reacted with this message:
For those across the world who cherish the values of Paddington… https://t.co/r5Kl5kTb7C

Paddington 3 is set to begin production sometime this year. It’s unlikely that Zelensky will voice Paddington in the new film, as the first two Paddington films were released before he became president in 2019.
