The proposed Paramount Skydance-Warner Bros. Discovery merger could put thousands of Hollywood film and TV job-years at risk, according to a new economic report ordered by the county. The analysis estimates that 4,495 direct job-years, and more than 10,000 once indirect and induced losses are included, could disappear during the combined company’s integration.
Christian metal band Demon Hunter is suing Netflix over the name of its blockbuster KPop Demon Hunters franchise, alleging trademark infringement and “almost complete overlap” with the band’s music, merchandise, and touring business. On a brighter note, Laika released the stunning full trailer for Travis Knight’s Wildwood, the studio’s first feature since Missing Link seven years ago.
