Netflix debuted the trailer today for its new series Hilda, an adaptation of Luke Pearson’s Eisner-Award nominated graphic novel series about a fearless blue-haired girl who discovers elves and giants in and around the city of Trolberg.

The entire first season will drop on Friday, September 21. Earlier reports had indicated that there would be twelve episodes based on the first four books:

Hilda is a co-production between U.K.’s Silvergate Media, the makers of Octonauts, and Mercury Filmworks, the Ottawa, Canada studio that serves as the animation house for the Mickey Mouse shorts, Tangled series, and The Lion Guard.

Andy Coyle is the show’s supervising director. Mercury is producing the animation for the series using a Toon Boom Harmony pipeline.
