Top Story: ‘The Wild Robot’ And ‘Arcane’ Lead 52nd Annie Award Nominations

From Samurai Jack to Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, Batman: The Animated Series to Animaniacs, and Ren & Stimpy to Star Wars: Clone Wars, Lynne Naylor has contributed character design and art direction to some of the most beloved series of the last 30 years.

Last month, she was a guest at the FMX conference in Germany where she spoke about her character design process.

A video interview filmed at FMX was just published by AWN — watch it below. It made me realize that I’ve never actually heard Naylor discuss her creative process and that’s a shame, because the video below is packed with fantastic advice that will be helpful to any designer who’s just starting out and wants to understand how to work as part of a team on series production.

Naylor is currently co-developing a pilot for Dreamworks Animation Television.
