‘Turning Red’ Gets Physical Release With Deleted Scenes, Alternate Ending
Good news for animation fans who still love physical media, Pixar’s Turning Red will be releasing on 4k Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and dvd on May 3.
At the beginning of the year, many were discouraged when Pixar parent company Disney decided to skip the film’s theatrical window and opted instead to release the film directly on its Disney+ platform. That sting will perhaps lighten a bit now that fans of the flick can own a physical copy with features not currently unavailable on Disney+.
Below, a breakdown of the bonus features and deleted coming to the home video version of Turning Red:
Bonus Features
- Audio Commentary: View the film with audio commentary by director Domee Shi, producer Lindsey Collins, and director of photography Mahyar Abousaeedi.

Deleted Scenes
- Introduction: Director Domee Shi will introduce the half-dozen scenes that didn’t make the film’s final cut.
