Top Story: Despite A Large Number Of Detractors, Animation Guild Members Ratify New Contract

Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Movies have revealed the full trailer for Wonder Park.

The new trailer, which follows an earlier teaser, reveals more of the story about how a young girl and her talking animal friends rebuild a theme park that previously had existed only in her imagination.

It’s not clear at this point who’s directing Wonder Park, or if the film will even release with a director’s credit. The makers of the film have not announced a director at this time.

The film has had multiple helmers since the project started in 2013 as Amusement Park. Its last director, Pixar veteran Dylan Brown, was fired in January following an internal studio investigation over allegations of “inappropriate and unwanted conduct.”

The voice cast of Wonder Park includes Matthew Broderick, Mila Kunis, Ken Hudson Campbell, Jennifer Garner, Kenan Thompson, Ken Jeong, John Oliver, Brianna Denski, and Norbert Leo Butz. Actor Jeffrey Tambor was originally announced as the voice of the narcoleptic blue bear Boomer, but he was removed from the role after a series of harassment allegations, and replaced by Campbell.

Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec wrote the screenplay, from a story by Appelbaum, Nemec, and Robert Gordon. Appelbaum, Nemec, and Kendra Haaland are producers, and Karen Rosenfelt and Don Hahn are executive producers.

The vendor studio handling the animation on the film is Spain’s Ilion Animation Studios, which also made Planet 51 and Mortadelo and Filemon: Mission Implausible. They are currently animating the films from up-and-coming U.S. independent producer Skydance Animation, whose first film Luck will also be released through Paramount Animation.

Wonder Park is due for U.S. release on March 15, 2019.
