After A Five-Year Hiatus, ‘The Venture Bros.’ Are Back In A New Clip For Their Upcoming Film ‘Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart’
Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) has released a first-look clip for its upcoming film The Venture Bros.: Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart.
The film is scheduled for release later this year by Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment, although exactly how it will be distributed wasn’t made clear in WBD’s announcement.
Here are the details Warner shared with the clip:
- The new film is based on the cult classic Adult Swim series The Venture Bros., which originally premiered on Adult Swim on August 7, 2004, and ran for seven famously spread-out seasons.
- Series creators Doc Hammer and Christopher McCulloch (aka Jackson Publick) wrote and executive produced the film which is directed by McCulloch. Titmouse, Adult Swim, and Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment produced the film which will be available later this year.
- Synopsis: “In The Venture Bros.: Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart, a nationwide manhunt for Hank Venture leads to untold dangers and unexpected revelations, while The Monarch is literally out for Dr. Venture’s blood. An imposing evil from the past reemerges to wreak havoc on the Ventures, The Guild, and even the Monarch marriage—it will take friends and foes alike to restore the Ventures’ world to order… or end it once and for all.”
- Voice casting includes original series actors James Urbaniak, Patrick Warburton, Michael Sinterniklaas, Chris McCulloch, and Doc Hammer. Joining them are Nina Arianda, Clancy Brown, John Hodgeman, Hal Lublin, Jane Lynch, Charles Parnell, Jay Pharoah, Steven Rattazzi, JK Simmons, and Dana Snyder.
