‘The Garfield Movie’ Trailer Offers First Listen To Chris Pratt, Samuel L. Jackson In Lead Roles
Sony Pictures Entertainment has released a new full-length trailer for The Garfield Movie, due in theaters on May 24, 2024.
Today’s trailer offers audiences their first listen to Chris Pratt’s version of the famous orange cat and Samuel L. Jackson’s portrayal of Garfield’s father, Vic.
The Garfield comic strip and its best-remembered animation adaptations became fan favorites for their honest, recognizable, and humorous portrayals of domesticated life. The Garfield Movie trailer chooses to go in a vastly different direction with the franchise, implanting its characters into a heist movie with an estranged father subplot.

- Sony’s synopsis reads: Garfield, the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure! After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father – scruffy street cat Vic – Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist.
