Tomorrow in Burbank, California, Brave co-director Brenda Chapman and the Center Stage Gallery will host an art auction fundraiser to benefit animation artist Sue Nichols-Maciorowski, who is currently battling an aggressive breast cancer and whose family is struggling with the mounting medical bills. Nichols has been keeping a cancer diary to document her experiences.

A 30-year animation veteran, Nichols has contributed visual development, character design, and story to some of Disney’s most beloved films of the contemporary era. If you’re not familiar with her name, you’ll surely recognize her filmography: Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan, Lilo & Stitch, The Princess and the Frog, and even the upcoming John Musker and Ron Clements feature Moana.

To help raise money, dozens of her friends have chipped in artwork, which will be sold tomorrow during a silent art auction from 12-4pm. Contributing artists include Kathy Altieri, Brittney Lee, Mike Gabriel, John Musker, Roger Allers, Kelly Asbury, Bill Perkins, Brenda Chapman, Dale Baer, Shannon Jeffries, and Jean Gillmore. All proceeds will go directly to Nichols and her family.

The Center Stage Gallery is located at 847 Hollywood Way, Suite 100,
