Shout! Factory Scoops N.A. Rights To Four Classic Aardman IPs
Shout! Factory has closed a North American distribution deal with Aardman Animations for a quartet of the studio’s biggest properties, Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep, Morph, and Timmy Time.
Agreement details:
- Under the new deal, Shout! Factory picks up exclusive physical home video, electronic sell-through, transactional video-on-demand rights, and limited theatrical rights to the four Aardman properties in the U.S. and Canada.
- For Wallace & Gromit Shout’s acquisition includes all shorts and features and for Shaun the Sheep all series and specials.
- Laura Taylor-Williams, head of digital and strategic development at Aardman, said in a release: “To be delighting North American audiences once again with our much-loved catalog is key to our new strategy. We are collaborating on an exciting release schedule that will speak to ardent Aardman fans as well as bringing our joyful animations to new audiences.”
