Right Now: Classic Animation All Night Long on TCM

If you’re looking for something cartoon-related to watch tonight, Turner Classic Movies is running an entire evening’s worth of animation. Beginning at 8pm ET/5pm PT, Turner will present 28 classic shorts in a special program called “Back to the Drawing Board.” It begins with 10 Winsor McCay shorts (co-hosted by historian and filmmaker John Canemaker), followed by shorts from Bray Studios (co-hosted by film collector Thomas Stathes) and Van Beuren Studios (co-hosted by Thunderbean DVD publisher Steve Stanchfield). The shorts will be followed by four animated features: The Adventures of Prince Achmed, Gulliver’s Travels, Magic Boy, and The Phantom Tollbooth.‘
