Short Pick Of The Day: ‘H8te Track Tape’ by Joe Horne
“The misadventures of Black Vinyl LP, a superhero shunned by the citizens he protects.”
Film by Joe Horne, USA, 2018.
Notes from the filmmaker:
H8TE TRACK TAPE, a Pure Rage Cartoon, uses the collage aspect of street art and hip hop applied to an animated story. It removes the use of scripts in favor of music-driven cartoons where scenes are created after composing and recording audio. The film takes us to Stereoland, an audiophonic dimension that exists in the corner of every record store, a land of living album covers and spray can buildings.
Software used in the making of the film: Rebelle, Storyboard Pro, Moho Pro, and After Effects.
