Still Up There Still Up There

Joe Loftus’s 2022 short Still Up There will creep inside your senses and linger far longer than you desire.

An astronaut on the brink of death regains consciousness in the vast emptiness of space. Disoriented and struggling to piece together how he got there, he is confronted by the sight of his own severed arm eerily floating past him — almost as if it’s waving. But is it really his arm?

The creeping sense of dread deepens with a chilling rendition of “You Are My Sunshine” by Feena Glynn, which adds an unsettling layer to the already disturbing atmosphere. Combining cosmic horror with unnerving psychological tension, Still Up There serves up a haunting experience that will leave viewers unnerved.
