Mexican animator Alan Ituriel is changing the animation game with Villainous, Cartoon Network’s first-ever short-form animated series commissioned from Mexico.

Though only 24 years old, Ituriel is already something of an industry veteran, having started working in the Mexico City animation industry when he was a teenager, and then later attending art school.

As part of our miniseries My First Animation Job we caught up with Ituriel at Mexico’s Pixelatl Festival to ask him how he launched his career. Check out the video below:
