On Sunday, the Washington DC Area Film Critics Association and Atlanta Film Critics Society Awards both named Laika’s Kubo and the Two Strings as their best animated feature of the year, while the Los Angeles Film Critics Association picked Makoto Shinkai’s Your Name as its top animated release of the year.
