Seven Artists Are Recognized By The Television Academy For Individual Achievement Emmys
The Television Academy has revealed the winners of this year’s juried Emmy Awards from several categories, including individual achievement in animation and motion design.
For the individual achievement in animation category, seven people were recognized with the honor. Three of those people represent projects on Max and three represent Netflix. An animator on Peacock’s In the Know took home the seventh honor.
One show, however, stood out above the others, with Blue Eye Samurai’s crew earning all three individual achievement awards for Netflix. The series was recognized for its character design, production design, and storyboarding. On the Max side, three different projects were honored: Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake (character animation), Scavengers Reign (background design), and Clone High (character design).
Juried category hopefuls are screened by a panel of professionals in the appropriate peer groups with the possibility of one, more than one, or no entry awarded an Emmy. As a result, there are no nominees. Instead, there is a one-step evaluation and voting procedure.
This year’s juried animation Emmy awards will be presented at the 76th Creative Arts Emmys, set to take place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Saturday, September 7, and Sunday, September 8.
