Animation Block Party 2016 Winners (Exclusive)
The thirteenth edition of Animation Block Party wrapped up in Brooklyn, New York yesterday evening. The festival awarded its top prize, Best in Show, to Tiny Inventions’ Perfect Houseguest. The studio is run by by the husband-and-wife team of Max Porter and Ru Kuwahata. The short can be seen in its entirety below:
The festival handed out 10 awards in total. Other notable winners include the CG short Borrowed Time, directed by Lou Hamou-Lhadj and Andrew Coats, which was recently profiled on Cartoon Brew, and Andy Kennedy’s singular experimental CG short Slow Wave, which was a Cartoon Brew Pick of the Day a few months ago.
