The jury of the Student Academy Awards has revealed 14 winners for this year’s 50th edition, three of which are animated.

According to the Academy, it received 2,443 entries this year from 720 colleges and universities around the world. Ten animated shorts were nominated this year, see them all here.

By winning a Student Academy Award, each title is now qualified for the next edition of the Oscars. Last year, Lachlan Pendragon’s An Ostrich Told Me The World Is Fake And I Think I Believe It segued a Student Academy Award win into an Oscar nomination.

This year’s 14 winners will be invited to attend an in-person awards ceremony on October 24 at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, where they will find out who won the gold, silver, and bronze in each category.
