She Drew That She Drew That

After two successful years of collecting animation salary and day rate data from U.K. animation professionals, She Drew That has opened their 2024 survey for interested participants.

She Drew That is a community focusing on the promotion, support, and development of women in the U.K. animation industry. Their 2023 data report revealed a trove of information about trends regarding gender inequality, pay rates, work roles, seniority, salaries, and more for almost 70 different animation jobs in the U.K.

Even with the slowdown in animation projects over the last year, She Drew That believes that it’s more important than ever for animation workers to have a resource to see overall wage trends as they look for, and negotiate, new contracts.

The 2024 data collection is open now and will close by end of day on October 11, 2024, with data analyzed for release by the end of this year. The questionnaire, which can be accessed HERE, is completely anonymous and confidential and is open to everyone in the industry, not just those within the She Drew That community.

She Drew That was founded in 2019 by London-based director and animator Hannah Lau-Walker. It was originally a monthly meet-up for freelance women animators in London, and has since evolved to include workshops, a residency program, and a podcast, among other resources.
