WHAT IS THE MOST VALUABLE PIECE OF ARTISTIC ADVICE YOU HAVE EVER RECEIVED, AND FROM WHO?
Uh, not easy. My good friend Andreas has told me a few times to “Give myself some more rope.” Does that translate clearly? I tend to be very hard on myself. I plan everything rigorously, and have problems letting go of control. So that helps a lot to think about. I also love reading about the universe and distant planets and galaxies, and ancient history. It makes everything I do seem very pointless, which makes it easier to do for me for some reason.
