“My first graphic design professor (sadly I’ve forgotten her name) asked me why my homework assignments always looked stiff, while outside of class my work looked more fun and had more personality. It wasn’t until years later that her simple question fully sunk in—there shouldn’t be a dividing line between client work and personal work. It’s possible to be passionate about everything you do.”
