WHAT IS THE MOST VALUABLE PIECE OF ARTISTIC ADVICE YOU HAVE EVER RECEIVED, AND FROM WHO?
Some important advice: My professor Leslie Herman had me fill at least three sketchbook pages a day, the idea being that the more you draw, the better you get at it and the more you like doing it. And my good friend Kelsey Borch taught me to look to the gestalt (roughly “big picture”) of an image while drawing, rather than individual marks.
