What If ‘The Amazing World Of Gumball’ Was Anime?

It used to be that there was a clear separation between studio animation and fan art, and that a viewer could easily distinguish which piece was created by a team of trained professionals and which piece was created by a single fan working from home. Not so much anymore.

Philippines-based Mike Inel takes the idea of fan art to a new level with his piece What If “The Amazing World Of Gumball” Was An Anime? Its quality is indistinguishable from your average television production, the only real difference being that Inel made the animation entirely by himself in two-and-a-half months using Photoshop, Clip Studio, 3ds Max, Substance Painter, and After Effects.
