Top Story: ‘The Wild Robot’ And ‘Arcane’ Lead 52nd Annie Award Nominations
Streaming Guide June 2023 Streaming Guide June 2023

June is this year’s biggest month for theatrical animated features so far, but in terms of streaming, there is not a ton of new animated content on the way.

The big June standout is Netflix’s Nimona, one of the year’s most hyped animated features. Other new June originals from Netflix include Skull Island, season two of Human Resources, and anime series Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King and Ōoku: The Inner Chambers.

Prime Video will add Mamoru Hosoda Oscar-nominated feature Mirai to its offerings in June. Max, once HBO Max, will debut Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham as well as the second seasons of We Baby Bears and Ten-Year-Old Tom. And Hulu will host the streaming premiere of The Amazing Maurice, based on Terry Pratchett’s Discworld book The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents.

A few notes on the list: The list includes announcements for new seasons of existing shows, however, we do not list new episode releases of existing seasons, as some streamers roll out new episodes in monthly batches. Streamers also often announce new animation releases mid-month. Our guide only catalogs what the streamers announce at the beginning of the month, but, when possible, we try to update the schedule if there are mid-month announcements. The list only includes content premiering on the U.S. versions of these services.
