Chester Cheetah Redesigned For ‘Book of Life’-Themed Spot [UPDATED]

Jorge Gutierrez, the director of the upcoming animated feature The Book of Life, writes on his newly-redesigned website that, “I jokingly designed Chester as a character from our world to pitch to Cheetos doing a commercial with Reel FX.” Frito-Lay thought it was a good idea and made the commercial.

Can anyone think of other examples of well known advertising characters redesigned in a particular film’s style? I don’t mean merely interacting with characters from an animated film, like this Despicable Me/Chester Cheetah mashup, but actually redesigned in the film’s style. It’s a fun idea that’s pulled off quite nicely in this spot:
