Comic-Con 2015: Your Complete Guide to Animation Events

The animation industry and its fandom cruise into this year’s Comic-Con blowout knowing a few key points: Adventure Time has been renewed for an eighth season, Harry Shearer is back on The Simpsons, and the creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra are writing their own comic books before they make another animated series — probably out of their own comic books.

The Super Story Behind the Pixar Short Sanjay’s Super Team
Director Sanjay Patel and producer Nicole Grindle present a peek behind the curtains at Pixar Animation Studio’s latest short, Sanjay’s Super Team. This year’s theme, “Bring on the Bad Guys,” will highlight villainous creations. Floyd Norman Documentary

How does one get into the business of doing cartoon voices? Well, careers have been launched by folks coming to this panel and listening to some serious free advice from people actively engaged in the process from all sides. Explaining the industry this year is Paul Doherty (secretary-treasurer of the Cunningham-Escott-Slevin-Doherty Talent Agency), actors Bob Bergen and Misty Lee, and your moderator (and voice director/supervising producer of The Garfield Show), Mark Evanier. Only serious students need show up.
