Top Story: Despite A Large Number Of Detractors, Animation Guild Members Ratify New Contract

We revealed yesterday that Taschen is creating the mother of all Disney art books: The Walt Disney Film Archives: The Animated Movies 1921-1968.

The 624-page beast, with over 1,500 images, will be out in time for the holiday season. In addition to images, the book will contain dozens of mini-essays written by historians including Leonard Maltin, Charles Solomon, Didier Ghez, J.B. Kaufman, and Mindy Johnson.

We got our hands on some of the interior spreads, which can be viewed below. Let’s just say this one’s a definite pre-order for us.
